‘I know the plans I have for you, declares the Lord, ‘plans to prosper you and not to harm you; Plans to give you a future and a hope.’ (Jer. 29:11)
GODSENT
About Godsent-God does have plans for the beautiful children of Nicaragua Community. Perhaps you and I are part of God’s plan for these kids. Nicaragua is the poorest Spanish-speaking country in the world. The majority of Nicaraguans live on less than $2 a day. One in three children is malnourished. On average, they complete less than five years of schooling. I have watched an offering plate passed around to Nicaraguans who make less in a year than we have as spare change in our cars back in the states. .For most of the children in the community, the only meal they would have the entire day is just a rotten banana or wherever that they could find on the side of the street. You never find money on the street in Nicaragua—usually there’s just trash, old papers and extremely toxic water, the children’s teeth are rotting and their bodies aren’t getting enough nutrients.
I realized there that the key to true happiness is being in the center of God’s will. Happiness outside of God’s will is a false sense of hope, an intangible misunderstanding that we’re content. I’ve had that, and though I thought it was happiness, I couldn’t have been more wrong. The only way to find true happiness is to surrender your every thought, decision, action and attitude toward that of glorifying the Father.
“I want to help these kids». Nicaragua has completely wrecked my life in the most amazing way possible. I don’t know what’s going to happen. I don’t know what’s going to change. I just know that it will . . .because it already has. The most beautiful, dirty, scarred, perfect hands of children are now holding my heart, and that’s never going to change. To God is the glory!» My challenge to anyone reading this is to step outside of your comfort zone. If God is placing an opportunity in front of you for caring and helping, take it. If he’s calling you into missions down the street, do that too. John 12:8 says, “You will always have the poor among you.” The poor will be among you. How many of us can say we are actually among the poor? I ask you to pray for these kids and us for support to build a better life to this children’s!!
Whit all my love and Blessing from the Lord to you!!! GODSENT
